This site is dedicated to following the political positions of the major candidates. As major candidates join the race or drop out, they will be added to this blog.
It is my honest goal that after reading this blog, you will have no idea of my stance on any issue nor whom I will vote for in the coming election. I intend this blog to be used purely for educating readers on the various positions of the major candidates.
The blog is formed in two parts. The majority of the posts are issue related e.g. Snow White likes apples and Snow White thinks short people should be treated with dignity. To look at these posts, choose the candidate or issue in the category list. These posts tend to follow one of the following formats:
- Direct copy and paste if I think the words are public domain and their inclusion here would not affect anyone’s copyright. These tend to be speeches or statements that are on the public record and on a government or candidate’s site. The original source is mentioned so the reader can read more.
- Specific sentences or paragraphs that are from a larger article but that larger article may cover other topics or its inclusion may place me on the edge of “fair use” and I by including it I may affect copyright owners rights. These are typically news sites. The original source is mentioned so the reader can read more.
The second type of post is a scorecard. In this post, I have put together MY UNDERSTANDING of the stance of the particular candidate. I will do these periodically.
Please write to me for any reason but particularly for three reasons:
- You do not feel that I have correctly tabulated a candidate’s position on a particular issue.
- You think I should be tracking another issue than the ones listed.
- You think I should be tracking another major candidate.
